Once - and for all in the line of business
Gorm Gade Knudsen has been with WEISS since 1997. At first his choice of workplace was a mixture of interest, a chance of possibilities and development on the personal level and the geographical location – a stone’s throw from his private residence.
Since then many other reasons have come up:
- We are not mass-producing, our project managers shall succeed the first time, on rare occasions they do not, but then it is just a matter of getting back on track to find the right solution, explains Gorm, and exactly this mixture of challenge and strain makes me do my best. We are a bunch of very different people with different educations and backgrounds but we are all calling a spade a spade and are all working in a solution-oriented way.
WEISS is constantly offering new challenges. The technical world is offering a varied working day and the cooperation between the occupational groups and persons involved in a project is always an exciting challenge.

On 1 January 2008 Gorm started in a new job function. Gorm has been appointed responsible of the new controller group.
- The controller group shall take part in recognition of the know-how and knowledge we possess internally; explains Gorm and continues: We are supplying complex projects and the sales managers and the project managers do not know everything about everything – but they shall know which of their colleagues can supply the knowledge they need.
The controller group is composed of colleagues from HWS, electricity, process energy and Gorm from the mechanical department. The four competences shall offer support to the sales department at an early stage so the hand over from sales to project department goes smoothly. When the project is in process the controller group shall support the project managers with specialized knowledge. |
