BACKGROUND
To illustrate the sound investment in a bio fuel combustion plant we have set up an example with a process system on the following pages. We will compare the bio fuel plant with conventional oil and natural gas plants.
The background is a plant with a yearly energy consumption of 48,000 kWh (based on a 1.2 MW plant with 4000 yearly operation hours).
To cover this energy consumption by means of conventional oil and natural gas the yearly expenses will be:
